Full fun packed 9 day programme of events to suit all ages and abilities – Traditional Irish music and dancing, Food Festival night, Historical talks and walks, Arts and crafts, Vintage family fun day, Country Sports, Street events, Fancy Dress, Opening Lorry Parade, RNLI Open Day, Fireworks Display, Lurig Mountain Challenge Run, Cycling events, Guided hill walks and Teddy Bear’s Picnic. Also the Friday Theme Night (10th August) this year is ‘DALLYWOOD’ covers Mad Hat Party. Pick a movie star, cartoon character, traditional dress from any country in the world,…..anything goes as long as there’s a HAT!!!
Saturday sees the popular Lurig Challenge Run (11th August), this event is already booked out. Family fun and fireworks on Saturday Evening. The Grand Finale is on the Sunday (12th August) starting with the Ping Pong Ball Race, street entertainment and the Mini Fleadh with very popular ‘Altagore’ local band finishing the night in style on the street and indeed the festival for 2018.
